December 27, 2014. You aren't exactly sure of what the future holds with something you are going through. That is all right if you remain in faith while not knowing. My word to you is to take one day at a time and look for the joy I have for you during this time. This is a good word for any time, but especially now. I am the God of goodness. Every good and perfect gift comes from Me. Let the negative things slide off. You are anointed with oil; let it slide.

 

Psalm 133:1-3 (MSG) "How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along! It's like costly anointing oil flowing down head and beard, Flowing down Aaron's beard, flowing down the collar of his priestly robes.It's like the dew on Mount Hermon flowing down the slopes of Zion. December 27, 2014. Waiting is an essential part of God's goodness cycle. You can look back in your life and identify times and circumstances when you waited without being anxious. It was partly why God so blessed you. You did not run ahead of the Lord. Instead, you waited while trusting Him. To be sure, others observed and are aware that more than once you exhibited your faith by waiting for God to act. In this way, as with King David, you can honestly say, "God did it." All glory to Him. Now you are blessed almost beyond measure as proof of His goodness.

 

Psalm 27:13-14 (NASB) "I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the LORD." Ras Robinson

The most requested item the children in the Philippines wanted for Christmas was food. This is from children who have known real hunger. Because you gave so generously, we made sure food was a part of what they received. Meals were prepared and food packages were given to the families. A popular custom in the Philippines is "noche buena." It is a special Christmas meal eaten at midnight on Christmas Eve to celebrate the birth of Christ. Some of the families who received a box of food said it was the first time they ever had any special food for "noche buena" and they were very happy. Thank you for your generous gifts to provide Christmas for the sponsored children and their families. In addition to food, they received toys, clothing and school supplies because of your generous giving. Thank you for making lots of smiles possible.

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for almost 900 FCM sponsored children in 24 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
