Once a super-typhoon, Hagupit weakened before passing through the Philippines earlier this month, but was still a damaging storm. See below.

December 19, 2014. I am protecting you. I am your Shepherd. I will not let any enemy devour you or cause you harm. I lead you in paths of peace and blessing. I am constantly restoring you. When you hear something bad said to you, let it slide right off. Ask me if it contains any correction that is needed in your thoughts, attitudes and actions that help you live life better and to the fullest. Beloved, I will help you. I don't condemn you in any way. I am leading you into righteous actions.

December 19, 2014. Partnership is apt to change your life forever. Well-chosen partners are often a ticket to greater success and happiness. Be wise and choose to be a good partner yourself. Seek to submit yourself and your gifts to and with the one(s) with whom you can live in full agreement and unity. You and they together can immediately multiply your possessions and future. Jesus taught Peter and the disciples an enriching message about unity and agreement among partners. Blessings always follow those who take seriously His lessons. Be a good partner. Be happy and successful.

After the storm, Typhoon Hagupit, passed through the Philippines earlier this month, this is what was left of a home in Calbayog City, where 2 brothers who are sponsored by FCM live. We are thankful the storm diminished in power from what was expected, but still there was damage to homes and property like what you see here. Calbayog City, where 30 of our sponsored children live, was in the path of the storm and expected to receive a lot more damage than they did. Several homes were destroyed and damaged, but we are so thankful to report and everyone is ok. Now they are trying to put their lives back in order. The electricity in the city was finally restored this week which helps.

The donations you give to the "Disaster Relief Fund" make it possible for help to go to families who experience loss as a result of events such as this. Thank you for your generosity to help.

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for almost 900 FCM sponsored children in 24 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
