With your help, some very poor children in the Philippines are getting an education and breaking the cycle of poverty they inherited.  See below.

December 11, 2014. I may seem far off but I'm not. One day revelation will come that shows you how close I am at all times. It will be amazing when you realize how I have been with you at each step. I know when it will come and all the surrounding circumstances. Until then you are seeing through a dim glass. Right now I want you to believe I am there. You can do this Beloved. When the temptation comes to doubt I am there, don't entertain it and see what happens.

John 20:29 (AMP) "Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, do you now believe (trust, have faith)? Blessed and happy and to be envied are those who have never seen Me and yet have believed and adhered to and trusted and relied on Me." Bev Robinson

December 11, 2014. A celebrated intellectual senior professor of a renowned university opened a window on pride. He referred to the citizenry of the USA as being stupid. Confronted by a congressman, he apologized but at the same time acknowledged that he used that term to make himself seem wiser than other recognized intellectuals. Pray for that professor that he will cease seeking to be wise in, not only his own eyes but in the eyes of others as well. Pray that he will turn away from his pride and find healing and refreshment for his bones.

Proverbs 3:7-8 (NASB) "Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones." Ras Robinson

A Word from Ras Robinson . . .

Dear Partners, Sponsors and Friends,

In the summer of 2013, while recuperating from heart surgery: GOD SAID, "I WANT YOU TO BUILD 10 ORPHANAGES IN THE PHILIPPINES."

When I asked Him how, He said "Tell the story and I will do the rest." I immediately recalled that He had said the same words to me when I saw the little girl and her young friends on the massive, smoking, stinking huge city garbage dump in Lapu-Lapu City.

In 2001, with very little money in in the bank, God allowed us to begin fulfilling the vision with 8 sponsored children. The number has grown every year to the point where now we have almost 900 children being cared for by 24 godly pastors. Now, more than 80 of these children, who had no chance of finishing high school, are in college and 10 have actually graduated from college.

Building and operating 10 orphanages is going to be quite expensive, beginning with meeting legal requirements. Estimates to begin an orphanage are between $30,000 to $40,000 each. In some locations land has been offered. In other places, it will need to be purchased. Each orphanage will require at least $1,000 per month operating expenses. All of this will be administered and managed through our Philippines Mission Director, Kathy Bohlin, assisted by FCM Partners and by local Filipinos.

Each orphanage compound will be different, according to the needs. Some will contain computer and technology training labs. One or more might be designated a safe house for trafficked children who are rescued. Our vision includes placing a qualified widow as caretaker for about 10 orphans, thus providing a home and livelihood for the caretaker widow as well as care for the orphans.

I believe there are individuals who will totally fund the building of an orphanage, including the monthly operating costs. There are churches and businesses that will totally fund an orphanage. Additionally, there are individuals who, from a heart of compassion, will give to the monthly orphanage operating costs of $1,000 (or some portion thereof), giving to the extent of their financial ability for the monthly orphanage operating costs.

Now, I have told the story. The rest is up to God for the funding, administration and management.

Ask God if you can be an Orphanage Partner with FCM for all of what God intends.

If God speaks to you about being an Orphanage Partner with FCM for this orphanage project, go to: Care for Orphans and Widows.

Ministry to Children

Photo of the Day

In this small house lives a widow and her 11 children. She has no skills but does laundry by hand for income. It is not enough to even provide for their food. FCM has sponsored Joy, one of the children, for several years (yellow t-shirt). If she had not been sponsored, she would never have been able to finish high school. There is simply not enough money to pay for education, which is not free in the Philippines. The cycle of poverty would simply be repeated by the children as they grow up.
But now Joy is in college studying education because she wants to help other children get an education.

I am not sure we understand the significance of this achievement. Just last month Joy actually enrolled in college to pursue a professional career. She knows it won't be easy, but she is determined to get a degree and help her family rise out of poverty. Joy has been rescued from a life of severe poverty by a sponsor who will likely never meet her in person, a sponsor who has faithfully given every month so Joy can break out of the cycle of poverty. Joy's life has been forever changed. It is a REALLY BIG DEAL.

Two years ago three of her younger brothers came to their pastor and said they would like to also be sponsored because they wanted to go to school. They were sponsored and now they are in elementary school and doing very well.

Life is not easy for them now, but their future looks good. The children are working hard to break the cycle of poverty. They are all smart and talented. They are active in church and love the Lord. These young people will be leaders in the future. Thank you especially to Partners, Sponsors and Friends for giving to transform the lives of these children who were once without hope, but now have dreams for the future.
