December 6, 2014. I have given you the keys to death and hell. Have you forgotten to use them? Don't let the devil reign in your situation. Your family, especially the young ones, need to see you use them. You don't want to portray that you are a victim. That is the kind of behavior they will reproduce when they become adults. You are not a victim. You are a victor. Don't pass on the lies that were passed on to you. Wield the keys. I've given you that authority. Now exercise it.

December 6, 2014. Waiting on God is essential right now for you. For you He is like a must have recharge device. You can operate for a season on your last charge, but eventually, you must return to Him. Submit yourself fully and refrain from speaking. He does wonders within you when you champion the strategy of silence. It is during such times that you regain and strengthen your hope and expectation from Him. Determine to never leave or to let fade your hope and expectation. Recharged, you can move mountains. Believe and go.

This is Jason, age 15, one of our new sponsored children this year. He was so happy when he heard there will be a Christmas party with gifts for everyone. He told us it is the first time in his life that he will receive a Christmas gift. He now comes to all the youth meetings in the church and is excited about it. He is also doing well in school and looking forward to a better future than was possible before he was sponsored.

From Kevin - Thank you so much for giving me a chance to be sponsored. We prayed so long that I can be a part of your sponsored children. Thank you so much. I will never forget your goodness to me. We love you. Merry Christmas to you all.
From Grace - My words are not enough to say thank you for all your goodness to my family. I was so excited and cried when I heard that I was sponsored and could go to school. I will never forget you. You are so good to us. Thank you for our pastor who cares for us and cooks food for us.
From Lyndy - I cry when I write this letter. I cannot express my feeling because I was so happy. Now we will surely have a future because of your help for my family. We want to finish our study so we can help our lola (grandma), who takes care of us after our mother died in the typhoon. We love you. Merry Christmas to you all. (Lyndy's grandmother cares for several of her grandchildren as best as she can, but they are very poor. The grandmother and Lyndy both cried when told some of the younger siblings of Lyndy will also be sponsored.)

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for almost 900 FCM sponsored children in 24 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
