This is absolute reality. Now Beloved, let your thinking move you up to where you are in reality. Take your thoughts captive. Don't let your thoughts think on anything but the best. I have the best for you. I have success for you. These are thoughts that move you up higher. You are there. Stay seated.

October 20, 2014. This is a day in which there is great need for both prayers and direction. Having heard His decree, you dare not strike out in a new direction without the SEED (the Word). Rise early in the morning, pray during the night and come boldly to God's throne of grace to find mercy in your time of need. Tune out other voices. There is only one voice you can totally believe and obey. Listen carefully and intensely to His promises (they are His seed) as a loving God with your best interests at heart. His directions are not grievous to obey.

Psalm 119:145-149 (NLT) "I pray with all my heart; answer me, LORD! I will obey your decrees. I cry out to you; rescue me, that I may obey your laws. I rise early, before the sun is up; I cry out for help and put my hope in your words. I stay awake through the night, thinking about your promise. A Word from Ras Robinson

God has quickened to my heart the importance of His vision to us for building 10 homes in the Philippines

to care for widows and orphans. He knows about the orphaned and abandoned children living on city dumpsites, under public bridges, on city streets and in squatter communities. He knows there are predators who take advantage of the most vulnerable ones in society and He has compassion for children who are in danger. He has selected some of them to be Christian leaders to transform the Philippine Islands.

Kathy Bohlin, our Executive Vice President and Director of Philippine Missions is feeling strongly that she needs to travel to the Philippines very soon to research and handle some important legal, cultural and social issues related to this vision. Five of our Philippine pastors have indicated a readiness to build at least one of the 10 homes.

A Filipino lawyer and his wife who is a certified social worker have volunteered to advise us. They have made available to us volumes of Philippine regulations and requirements.

The purposes of Kathy's trip are:

To work on arrangements for starting the 10 homes for widows and orphans.
To visit potential locations for these homes and talk with the pastors in those locations.
To establish policies and procedures for this entire vision.

Kathy's trip will cost a minimum of $3000. We ask that you pray about this trip and purposes. It may be that only a few Partners, Sponsors and Friends will be able to fund her trip. Anything given beyond the $3000 needed for this trip will be applied to our February 2015 trip. In February we will bring together all the pastors who care for our sponsored children for a seminar of equipping and encouragement. We will also make personal visits to several locations where the children live.

Photo of the Day

Nine more weeks until Christmas. It hardly seems possible. This photo from last year shows a group of very happy children. They come from homes so poor there is no Christmas. They had Christmas last year because of generous donations from Partners, Sponsors and Friends. Without those donations, these children would not have received anything for Christmas. The gift we gave was the only one they received. Favorite gifts of the children are bath towels, clothing and food. Time is short. We need the donations before Thanksgiving so we can get the money to the pastors in time to prepare Christmas for the children.

What better way is there to honor Jesus at this special time of year? Jesus loves children and is pleased when we care for and bless them. Would you consider giving to the children's Christmas? Go to Christmas for Children.
