Most of the children we sponsor in the Philippines never received a Christmas gift until they were sponsored. See below how you can make a child happy this Christmas.

 

October 15, 2014. Many options are before you. There is a time coming when even more options will be presented. You think there is no time to pray and ask Me about the right choice. That's exactly what Satan wants you to think. You do have time. You don't have to get on your knees in a quiet place. You need to be praying as you go. Seek directions in the face of pressing needs. I know your thoughts and your needs before there is a word on your lips. Look upward to Me.

October 15, 2014. Consider practicing His presence in everyday life. While in a dentist chair in Mexico yesterday, I was experiencing loud noises, vibrations and physical pain within my mouth. Somehow, I escaped all that physically and spiritually to practice His presence. I kept my eyes closed. I began to "see" a covering over my head and everything around me. The covering looked like a plaid cloth with a faded red tint. The Holy Spirit spoke to me about the soil at the foot of the cross on which Jesus bled and died. His blood was covering me in His presence.

 

Colossians 1:22 (AMP). "Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father's] presence. Ras Robinson

The little boy in this photo is holding tightly to the only gift he received for Christmas. Without the help of our Partners, Sponsors and Friends, he would have received nothing.  It was the first time in his life that he received a gift of any kind. 


 Most of the children God has given us in the Philippines have never received a Christmas present or even anything special to eat at Christmas. We often see tears and sometimes they ask, "Is this really for me?" Sometimes the smallest ones don't even know what to do with it, but it does not take much coaching to show them. What joy it is to see the excited eyes and hear the squeals of delight over just one gift that belongs only to them. The families are often blessed with bags of food to take home.


 Your gifts make possible a lot of joy. Thank you for blessing the children. We hope it blesses you to know that you bring such joy to a child and a very poor family who never seem to have enough to eat..

 

To give to this fund for Christmas for the Children, go to Christmas for Children. Your donations for Christmas need to be received before Thanksgiving so we can get them to the pastors and they can purchase the gifts.

Become A Child's Sponsor - $30 a month per child      

Give to Food for Learning  -- Help feed hungry children in the Philippines. Any amount helps a lot. 

Ministry to Children -- For special needs -- Any amount helps. 
Disaster Relief Fund -- Provides help for emergency needs resulting from floods, earthquakes, fires, etc.

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for almost 900 FCM sponsored children in 24 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
