Photo of the Day
When Christmas gifts are handed out to the sponsored children, there are lots of smiles. For some of the children, the gift they receive is the first Christmas gift ever received and the only one they will receive this year. Sometimes the smiles become tears of joy as they realize it really is for them and they can keep the gift.
A favorite gift is a bath towel. It would be exciting to receive your own bath towel if there is only one in the house and everyone uses it. One teenage girl said, "I never thought I would have my own towel!" Other favorites are shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes (what if everyone in your home had to use the same toothbrush?).
Would you consider giving a gift to provide Christmas for very poor families in the Philippines? It is our desire to give a gift to each sponsored child and that child's siblings, especially the youngest ones. We also desire to give food to each family. You have been so generous to give to this each year. We are thankful for you.
