August 25, 2014. You have trusted Me even on your mother's breast. At the time, you didn't know I was the One whom you trusted, but nevertheless I was. I revealed Myself to you as you grew. Then one day you were surprised to find that I was there all along your path taking care of you. You were overjoyed that it was Me whom you were trusting. You began to see Me as the Creator of all things, now you are seeing I am the One who loves and cares beyond comparison.

August 25, 2014. Three of our great-grandchildren (ages 1, 2 and 3) came for supper last Friday evening at our house. They and their parents were here only two hours, but their presence absolutely changed our home atmosphere. Life, filled with the joy of playing and laughter, reigned supreme. It was like a rush of cold air on a hot summer day. They refreshed my soul from the effects of a long and wearisome day. Thank you Lord for the refreshment little children embody and radiate. Jesus said, "Permit the little children to come unto Me. For such is the Kingdom of God." Could it be that the little children brought refreshment to Him after His long and wearisome day?

 

Proverbs 3:21-22 (NLT)"My child, don't lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace."  Ras Robinson

Pastors Joseph and Suzanne Almonte pastor Fullness in Christ Jesus Ministries in Jasaan, a city in the southern Philippines (church pictured above). Their work with children has been recognized by the Philippine Department of Social Welfare which has requested their help to care for the poorest children in the city. Suzanne wrote us yesterday that they now have 120 children attending their church. Wow! Let's talk about an exciting Children's Church! Many of the children really need a sponsor. Right now, we only sponsor 20 children in this church. The harvest is ripe and plentiful. Are you willing to be a laborer in this field? Maybe you could sponsor one or more of the children or perhaps God has put it on your heart to help feed these beautiful hungry little children. Jesus said when we care for the least, we care for Him. These children need a helping hand. Could you be that one to help?

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for almost 900 FCM sponsored children in 24 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
