A typhoon recently moved across the island of Samar where some of our sponsored children live.  The children and their families are okay, but several homes were destroyed. We sent help to them. Thank you for making that gift possible. See below.
  

August 15, 2014. There's no way you can know how much I love you. There is nothing you have experienced that can compare to My love. You have never seen this kind of love. You know one that comes close, but not exactly. Don't try to figure it out. Just receive it. Enjoy it. Bask in it. Pass it on.  People don't realize how much they want it. It is readily available. It came at a high price, the life of My Son, but now freely given. Continue receiving My love and passing it on.

August 15, 2014. It is good that you do not think of or dwell on temptation. Temptation can be like a hidden viper waiting on your happy path. It waits for the perfect moment to strike. Change your path away from the weeds in which the viper hides. Be wise like that serpent and outfox it. In so doing you will avoid pain that can last a lifetime. After watching and praying, do your part and God will do His. He knows all about temptation. After all, He taught Jesus how to avoid it.

 

Mark 14:38 (NASB) "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."  Ras Robinson

 

Starting Orphanages God's Way 

 

Last October (2013) God told FCM to build and operate some orphanages as a part of our ministry to the poorest Philippine children. These orphanages will care for orphaned children through dedicated widows and under the care of FCM's supporting pastors on sight there.

 

In different locations in the Philippines, God has put it into the hearts of three FCM pastors to begin the orphanages. One location has already received some children, placed with them by the Department of Social Welfare. These developments excite us, but they need our help

 This is what is left of a home after Typhoon Glenda swept through a city on the island of Samar. Three FCM sponsored children live in this home. Several typhoons have recently hit the Philippines one after another. Thankfully, most have gone well north of where our children are located. One of them went across the island of Samar and destroyed or damaged several homes of our children. We were able to send help to rebuild and repair homes and to replace things lost in the storm. We were able to do that because of support from Sponsors, Partners and Friends who sent money designated for "disaster relief."  

 

We have used "disaster relief" funds several times recently. One of our pastors found a family deep in the forest in desperate conditions, needing quick intervention. Without giving details to protect the family, the "disaster relief" funds made it possible to help them with the speed the situation demanded. We continue to help victims of the earthquake and super-typhoon last fall as families put their lives back together.
