Believe it or not, this is the home of a 9 year old girl named Princess. She lives in the Philippines near a garbage dump with her father and mother. All the family are scavengers. But Princess has a dream to become a nurse with a good income so she and her parents will no longer live in such a place. Princess is sponsored now and going to school. She also receives extra food and good nutrition and she and her family are being taught about how to live for Jesus. Her mother helps cook for children living at the garbage site and her father prays for the sick and they are healed.
Here is a note we recently received from Princess:
Dear Sponsor and Ate Kathy, It is rainy days now in the Philippines and made us have fever and cough. First, my mother was having asthma and fever too, so she could not help cook for the Dump Site Feeding one day. When she got healed, I was the one who get sick. Thank God, our pastor prayed for us and Jesus healed us. Please pray because we need to build another place to sleep, for our house collapsed. We are starting to gather materials in the garbage site for building another one. My father and mother believes that prayer is powerful. My father used to pray for a friend that have sickness and that friend was healed. Sometimes he prayed for Mama too and she will be healed even without medicines. God is so good to us.
