July 19, 2014. "I don't know when to start" is what you are thinking. I'm saying to do it soon. You don't need to have all the answers. In the first place, you will never have all the answers. If you think you have to wait until then, you will never start. Waiting for perfection causes paralysis. I am the perfect one. I say start. I will show you as you go. If I showed you or told you the whole picture, you would be totally overwhelmed and afraid to start. So get going now.

July 19, 2014. Moses was a man who knew what it meant to speak with God personally and face to face. This encounter between a man and his God enables an intimacy between them. For Moses, this intimacy became the channel wherein God directed the path of Moses and even told him, in great detail, how to build the first tabernacle and the ark to house the Ten Commandments. As born again believers, we are to daily seek God's counsel and direction. He still grants an audience to those to seek Him. Daily seek His face.

 

Exodus 33:14-15 (NASB) "And He said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. Then he said to Him, "If Your presence does not go with us, do not lead us up from here."  Ras Robinson

From the beginning of our calling to minister in the Philippines, the vision God gave us was the transformation of the nation - one child at a time. Through that vision, God has touched the lives of hundreds of children, youth and their families in the past 13 years. Many of you have been part of that through your prayers, your financial support and as sponsors for children. The ministry to the sponsored children and their families will continue. In fact we are expecting a great increase as God will give us thousands more children in many more locations across the Philippines.

 

Now, beyond that ministry of sponsoring children, God has spoken concerning a "New and Bigger Vision" to transform the nation. We invite you to join us and "Think Big, Believe Big and Act Big."

All ready for first grade. This little girl was so happy and excited. She has everything she needs for school, including an umbrella to keep her dry on rainy days. She comes from a poor family where the older children did not go to school and today have to work as scavengers just to survive. The family is so happy that their youngest child is going to school. She will also get extra food and nutrition and the whole family will be taught and discipled. 

 

There are many children like this little girl who need help. For only $30 a month ($1 a day) you can change a life and often an entire family. Pray about becoming a sponsor to a child or teen. See below for how to get started.

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for almost 900 FCM sponsored children in 24 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
