This is Vince, 8 years old. His family is very poor and thought they would not be able to send him to school this year. They are so happy and thankful that Vince has been sponsored and is now in school. He hopes to become a nurse someday and care for sick people. I see that kindness and caring in his eyes. Pray with us that his dream will be fulfilled and that God will use him to bring healing to many. Here is his note of thanks:
Dear Ate Kathy, and Sponsor, With my family I thank the Lord that I can go to school. I had to stop this year because we did not have enough money for me to go to school. But I was chosen to be one of the sponsored of FCM. Thank you so much Ate Kathy and also for the kindness of the Sponsor. Dear Sponsor, I thank you that you helped me to enroll in school this year. Although we are poor, we are a happy family and my mother take care of us so much. She desires for me to go to school every year because my teacher said I can understand well in class, so she is happy that FCM help us this year. I promise to always go to school and study more. Dear Sponsor and Ate Kathy, My mother is very happy that I was chosen to be one of the sponsored students in the Garbage Dump Site. We really thank Jesus for giving me His grace!!! We are very poor and have hard time to eat. That is why every Saturday I always attend the Feeding Program with my friends. Sometimes I have headache and our Barangay Health Unit gave me medicine. I am able to understand my subjects in school, but last year I was always disturbed when my parents cannot find money from scavenging the garbage to pay my school fees. This year I believe the Lord guided our pastor to consider me as one of the students to be sponsored. I know God will increase the blessing! Thankfully yours, Jessa

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for almost 900 FCM sponsored children in 24 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
