This is Merry Joy speaking at her high school graduation last week. She was selected as "Most Outstanding Student." When she spoke, many in the audience shed tears as she recognized her widowed mother, who works so hard doing laundry by hand just so she can provide for her children. Merry Joy is also thankful for her FCM sponsor who gave faithfully and made it possible for her to finish high school. She is active in ministry to children who live at the city garbage site and also as a teacher for children in her church. Her desire now is to go to college and become a teacher because she wants to help other poor children like her to get an education. There are many children like Merry Joy praying and waiting for someone to help. What a privilege it is to be able to make a life changing impact on these young lives. Your investment in the children is a good investment.

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for more than 800 FCM sponsored children in 23 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
