We are proud of the accomplishments of the children God has given us in the Philippines. Read below about Carmina, a young lady sponsored by FCM who just graduated from elementary school as the school valedictorian.
April 15, 2014. I would never tell you to do something that would not be accompanied by My Spirit giving you the power to do it. Deep down within you know that, but from time to time you forget it. What you are facing now is something you have been wanting for a long time. I've already told you what the end result needs to be. I've extended grace. Now is the time to get in the fight. You've won half the battle in making the start. Now get it done, Beloved.

A Word from Ras Robinson ...

April 15, 2014. You are a person of integrity. You seek to be true not only to God but also to yourself. The standards and principles that guide your life came with pain. Jesus was annoyed by beggars, but in the end, He changed His mind and healed the Gentile woman's daughter. At that time in His life, He was not permitted to heal just anyone. His focus was on God's lost sheep of Israel. But the faith of this woman to so humble herself in recognition of His divine healing power, caused Him to break with tradition and heal her daughter. You also do this and I am proud of you.
Matthew 15:24-25 (NLT) "Then Jesus said to the woman, "I was sent only to help God's lost sheep-the people of Israel." But she came and worshiped him, pleading again, "Lord, help me!" Jesus responded, "It isn't right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs." She replied, "That's true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their master's table." "Dear woman," Jesus said to her, "your faith is great. Your request is granted." Carmina is smart and we are so proud of her. She just graduated from elementary school as valedictorian and won several additional honors such as "Best in English" and "Best in Math." She comes from a very poor family and, until she was sponsored, she could not attend school regularly. Her father only earns about $2 a day as a pedi-cab driver. It is not even enough to provide regular meals for the family and too often there was not enough to buy school supplies and pay the required fees. Having a sponsor has been a big help to her. There are so many more children like Carmina praying and waiting for someone to help. What a privilege it is to be able to make a life changing impact on these young lives. Your investment in the children is a good investment.

Kathy Bohlin is Executive Vice President of FCM & Director of our missions in the Philippines. She works closely with local pastors who care for more than 800 FCM sponsored children in 23 locations on 4 islands. In the Philippines the children affectionately call her Ate (Ah tay) Kathy.
