Join us for the PTSA General Meeting on Mar 12th at 10:15 AM. Mr. Batten will give us an enlightening and invigorating presentation about school safety. Don't miss it!

Mock SAT testing at Palmetto:

The PTSA will be offering mock SAT testing on Apr 4th to prepare students for upcoming exams. Testing will take place at 9:00am in the Media Center and costs $10.00 per test. Please note that these exams are simply for practice and cannot be submitted to the colleges. If you are interested in taking the exams, please go to http://goo.gl/forms/nV2jGXHltR and register online. Space is limited so reserve early. Testing is provided by Sanderson Test Prep. Odyssey of the Mind:

Congratulations to Palmetto High's Odyssey of the Mind team that won the regional competition this past weekend and is now moving to the state competition in Orlando on Apr 11th. Team members are Michael Fein, Louis Moon, Anna Marchus, PJ Esco, Jack Cruz-Alvarez, Daniel Fein and Nicholas Bellas.

State Astronaut Challenge:

This past weekend students from Miami Palmetto participated in the State Astronaut Challenge at the Kennedy Space Center and at the National Ocean Science Bowl at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. At the Astronaut Challenge, our main team earned a first place finish in the technical exam and our alternate team earned a second place finish in the Engineering Challenge. Our students placed third at the National Ocean Science Bowl.

Award-Winning Poets:

Congrats to Christina Vincent, Talia Cogdill, & Abigail Hason for winning at the Florida State Poets Association Student Poetry Contest.
