Drive 4 UR School was a success:

Thank you to the 338 drivers who came out for a fabulous event on October 10th at Gus Machado Ford of Kendall!

Chipotle Fundraiser:

Come out and raise money for the PTSA and the SSHS on Wednesday, October 15th from 2:30pm to 6:20pm at CHIPOTLE!  

Be an informed voter:

Mark your calendars for the PTA Candidate Forum on Education October 21st, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Palmetto Middle School, 7351 SW 128th St. On the hot seat: candidates for Florida House of Representatives Districts #112, #114, and #115. Come and learn about their views on standardized testing, accountability, Bright Futures, private school vouchers, and other key education issues. Prepare yourself now to make the best possible choice on November 4.

Musical Instruments:

The band program at Palmetto is in need of instruments. We are looking for a String Bass for Jazz Band. 2 Marching Tubas. Valve Trombone. F-Attachment Trombone. New would be great. Ms. Dobbs can provide quotes if needed. Wwbw.com provides the best educational discount. Used would be great as well!

Donations:

Peggy Kratz has become our 200th individual donor to the PTSA this year! Have you donated? Put your donation in the PTSA mailbox or donate online at www.palmettohighptsa.org. It's tax deductible!

Volunteers:

Hello volunteers! We have a special request that needs a few seconds of your time. Monday October 13th is a test of the parent volunteer email group. (Not this e-news).

What happened:

We had a minor problem with the volunteer email list. (Not PTSA e-news or high school emails but only our volunteer email group). We attempted to "merge" 2 lists. And lost some names. Approx 13-20 names from our volunteer only data base are lost in "The Cloud"! It isn't a huge number but it's important that anyone who wishes to volunteer is extended the invite.

Here's our plan:

This e-news you are reading usually occurs on Monday's. I WILL ALSO SEND A SEPARATE VOLUNTEER EMAIL THE SAME DAY.

If you receive an official e-news, but no separate volunteer email test from palmettovolunteer@gmail.com please contact us. Both should occur same day. If you would like to volunteer, and do not receive an email from palmettovolunteer@gmail.com on Monday, PLEASE EMAIL US!
