Congratulations to the Class of 2014!!!

  • August 18 - Welcome back to 2014 - 2015 school year!

PTSA:

The end of the school year is near and we would like to thank all of you who have help in any way this year through food donation, clothes, gift cards, volunteer hours, desserts, drinks, etc.... The PTSA and the school really appreciate it all.

For all of you that have graduates and don't know what to do with the uniforms and books you have, please consider donating them to the PTSA. The uniform shirts will be stored at the school and the used books will be sold at the school store for a minimal price or donated to classrooms if needed. Remember, all proceeds from the school store go back to helping the school and students through the PTSA.

The Envirothon Team is going to the national competition in Kansas. Congratulations to Ms. Schlactman and her team of students!

Panther Business Program:

The Strictly Panther Business program, part of Junior Achievement, donated $375 to 'Big Brothers Big Sisters'. The funds are a portion of the proceeds of another year's successful business operation. Congratulations to our budding entrepreneurs under CEOs Chloe Sebbag and George Uche, JA Educator Mrs. Exposito and JA Advisor Valerie Silver.

Palmetto Middle School:

Palmetto Middle School urgently needs funds for Cambridge textbooks. Click the link to make your tax-deductible donation to their textbook fund. They need to raise $11,000 by July 1st. Every dollar makes a difference!  http://fundanything.com/en/campaigns/palmetto-middle-bucks-for-books

School Supplies Backpacks for Haiti:

The end of the school year is almost here and most of you have backpacks you do not plan on using next school year. Luisa Hays, freshman at Palmetto, has joined efforts with Honorable Judge Fred Seraphin to provide backpacks filled with donated school supplies to an orphanage in Haiti. She is hoping to collect at least 30 gently used backpacks, fill them with age-appropriate school supplies, and ship them to Haiti by early August.

Please donate backpacks and any extra school supplies to the following locations where you will find donation boxes;

Mrs Meyers Room #400

Palmetto School Library

Or Carmen Hays

15001 SW 69 Court

Palmetto Bay, FL 33158

Please call (305) 987-0275 or email carmenhays@hotmail.com (Carmen Hays) with any questions.
