We Still Need Volunteers:

Dear parents, for those who have given "Thank you" however we are still in need of donations for our "The End of Year Luncheon". Let's give thanks to everyone at Palmetto High School for everything they do for our kids. We are still needing the following items:

- Strawberries and other berries

- 3 Hersey Syrup

- 4 whipped cream

- Desserts are needed.

Volunteers are needed on June 3rd to help set up and decorate the Media Center starting right after early release (students would be given volunteer hours). Volunteers are needed on June 4th (day of event) at 10:00am to prepare last minute things, in addition to serve at 12 noon and / or cleanup.

Finally we would love to give every one of our 220 teachers and school staff a gift of appreciation; we are looking for gift certificates that can be given to males or females such as Trader Joes, Starbucks, movies, restaurants, massages, department stores, sports, or wine bottles etc.

Silver Knight Nominees for 2013-2014"

At the  56th Silver Knight Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday May 20th at the James L. Knight Center; our school has a proud history of nominees, winners and honorable mentions. Taryn d'Adesky, Lauren Bunce, Katherine Heldt and Mia Spigelman all received Honorable Mentions. At the Senior Awards Ceremony on May 22nd, all the nominees received their banners. A special thanks to South Motors for sponsoring our Silver Knight banners.

School Supplies Backpacks for Haiti:

The end of the school year is almost here and most of you have backpacks you will not plan on using next school year. Luisa Hays, freshman at Palmetto, has joined efforts with Honorable Judge Fred Seraphin to provide backpacks filled with donated school supplies to an orphanage in Haiti. She is hoping to collect at least 30 gently used backpacks, fill them with age appropriate school supplies, and ship them to Haiti by early August.

Pinecrest People Mover

As the school year comes to a close, we are making preparations for the next year of the Pinecrest People Mover service.
