Sports Physicals and Athletic Forms
It's that time of year again, when we need to start thinking about sports physicals for next fall. Last year's physical forms will expire and every athlete's paperwork needs to be updated. Every athlete is required to turn in two forms:
- Sports Physical Form
- Parent Consent Form
These forms can be found on the website, in the athletics drop-down list. Click here to access them . If either of the two forms is not turned in, your son or daughter will not be allowed to participate in any sports until all the paperwork is completed.
Beacon Health will be coming to Trinity to conduct sports physicals for any athlete who will participate in sports next year. Incoming seventh-graders are welcome to come to Trinity for their sports physicals for the 2016-17 athletic season.
The physicals will be conducted for a nominal fee of $20 on Tuesday, May 3, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (or until all athletes have been seen) at school. Make all checks payable to Beacon Health System.
Deadline for all paperwork is July 1, 2016.
Trinity Athletics
107 S. Greenlawn Ave.
South Bend, IN 46617
- Forms can be turned in on the day of the physical here at Trinity.
If you decide to have the physical or baseline test done at another time or through another provider, plan to have ALL paperwork turned in by July 1. Please be mindful of the July 1 deadline and either attend the sports physical day at school on May 3 or schedule your doctor's appointment prior to July 1.

Spring Field Day
Friday, May 6, will be our annual Spring Field Day--a day of outdoor games and sports at Clay Park. We will not be at the Greenlawn campus at all that day. Students should be dropped off at Clay Park by 8:50 a.m. They will be dismissed from there at 2:15 in the afternoon. Clay Park is located on Laurel Rd. west of 933, between Darden and Brick Roads. The best way to reach the park is to get on 933, turn west onto Darden Road, then right at Laurel. The park will be to your left. Enter by the driveway at the north end of the park. We will meet by the pavilion.
Dress for the day is casual (blue jeans, shorts and T-shirts are acceptable). We ask parents to make sure their children are dressed modestly and tastefully--no torn or tattered clothing, no tank tops, no inappropriate pictures or messages on T-shirts, etc.
Lunch and water will be provided. Parent consent forms were included with the emergency forms at the start of the school year. If there is a medical reason a child cannot participate in the sports, please send a note. In these cases a student can often be assigned to help run events and keep score.
|
We look forward to meeting your child's grandparents on Tuesday, May 10, for lunch and the Honors Concert. Please ask them to arrive between 12:00 and 12:15 p.m. It'll be a wonderful afternoon!

Ah, Wilderness!
The final drama production this year, presented by the class of 2016, will be Ah, Wilderness! by Eugene O'Neill. Mr. O'Neill is famous for his play Long Day's Journey into Night, which was based on his own family experience of alcoholism. Ah, Wilderness! is a bright comedy about family life. It is life the way O'Neill would have liked it to have been. Eugene O'Neill is the only American playwright who won the Nobel Prize in Literature.
The public performance for parents, family members, friends, etc., will take place on the evening of Friday, May 20, starting at 7:30. Admission is $5 for an adult and $3 for a child, with a maximum charge of $15 for a family. Children who attend the evening performance must be accompanied by an adult.

Students should inspect their books and erase all markings.
(All books were inspected and their condition recorded prior to the school year.)The Trinity School staff will inspect the books later in the summer for damage above and beyond normal wear and tear.
Students should bring their rented books to the auditorium on the day of their oral exams.
Juniors will need to bring their laptop computers to their science oral exam and leave them with their instructor to be stored at Trinity School during the summer. Seniors need to return their laptops so that the Trinity licensed software can be removed from the computers. Their laptops will be returned to them prior to graduation.
