As with all instrumentation, it is very important to consider the source in order be sure that you are getting the very best quality for your money.  Some companies rely on titanium which comes from Pakistan.  It is often softer, and not of the same medical grade quality that should be utilized for surgical instruments.  Ambler Surgical uses a Medical Grade 5 titanium (alpha-beta titanium alloy, 6AL 4V ELI) which is one of the most widely used in the medical industry.
