Meriden YMCA Upcoming Events

 

It's been a great start to the summer!

Thank you to all who supported the Meriden YMCA at our Martini & Massage Charity Benefit in early June.

The proceeds benefit Meriden families including children whose families could not otherwise afford to send them to Mountain Mist Day Camp to experience a magical summer of making friends, having fun and building self confidence.

Our work of creating brighter futures and transforming lives never stops. We need your help. Please join us on Tuesday August 5th for the Meriden YMCA & Meriden Rotary Golf Tournament at the Wallingford Country Club. 
  
Not a golfer? Don't worry you can still have fun! Join us for the Surf & Turf Dinner at the Meriden YMCA Mountain Mist Outdoor Center. There will be delicious food, drinks, an auction, and drawing. We also have a Kid's Picnic. While you enjoy dinner, the kids will have fun at their very own picnic under the supervision of the the Meriden YMCA Child Care staff.
    
All proceeds go to help Meriden's families through the Meriden YMCA Annual Campaign and Meriden Rotary projects.

Golf Tournament

 

Where: Wallingford Country Club, 195 Long Hill Road, Wallingford, CT 06492

  • 10:00 a.m. Registration
  • 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Putting Contest
  • 11:00 a.m. Lunch
  • 12:00 p.m. Shotgun Start
  • 5:00 p.m. Kids Picnic, Cocktail Reception at Mountain Mist
  • 6:00 p.m. Surf & Turf Dinner

The Golf Tournament is a scramble format.The tournament includes: 

  •     Greens fees, cart, range balls, lunch, and dinner at Mountain Mist.
  •     Complimentary wine, beer and frozen drinks at dinner.
  •     Gift bag with goodies
  •     Surf & Turf Dinner with auction, drawing and prizes
  •     Awards for longest drive for men and women
  •     The Closest to the Pin Contest
  •     Hole In One Contest.

Golfers: $175 individual, $700 foursome  

 * Each registered foursome will be given four tickets for a chance to win a New York City weekend getaway with dinner for two.*

 

  

Surf and Turf Dinner 

 

Meriden YMCA Mountain Mist Outdoor Center at 576 High Hill Road, Meriden


Dinner includes: lobster, filet mignon, corn on the cob, baked potato, frozen drinks, beer and wine.  Great auction prizes to bid on. 


Non-golfer dinner fee: $50 per person 

 

Kids' Picnic

  



Kids will have their own special picnic while you attend the Surf & Turf dinner. Children will be supervised by YMCA child care staff. Kids will have fun playing in the bounce house, creating arts & crafts projects, and having their own picnic with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks. For ages 3 and up.
