Holy Week at All Pilgrims

Washing Our Windows
I recently read a story told by Tibetan Buddhist Monk, Yongey Mingur Rinpoche. The story is a simple illustration that goes like this - Imagine living in a room with one locked window that is so dirty it barely lets in any light. The room remains dimly lit. Movement outside is hard to make out, and even some of the creatures appear frightening as they cast odd shadows.

Gardening Invitation
It's that time of year. Flowers are appearing. The shrubs are in bloom. Daylight savings is here.... It's time to think about gardening -- including the church garden.

Would you like to sign-up now? It's a perfect time!
What is expected? First, put aside your fears of not knowing what to do, and you can forget not having equipment or even gloves. Garden Team Chair Larry Pike and his associate Ken MacKay know what to do, and there is equipment provided by the church.

The to-do list? There is constant weeding, making sure plants are watered during summer, trash removal, mowing, and yes, occasionally, there are plants to plant. And then, there is the courtyard which requires constant tidying up; just ask Kelly Morgan or Sorin Hanson who have been doing it -- often three times a week.

You can sign-up by emailing either Larry Pike or Norm Wells (Gardening Team Co-chairs). They'll make sure you're added to the list of people who can be called on.

We hope to call on you!
