All Pilgrims Christian Church
SEPTEMBER 2013
Launching to New Reaches

Within this month, we welcome three new interns who will serve our congregation in servant leader roles.  Melissa Smith (Pittsburg, PA) is a student at Seattle University's School of Theology, Stephen Gumber (Tyler, TX) is a student at Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, and Margie Quinn is a Young Adult Service Community member (Nashville).  As we welcome the choir back this Sunday (15th), the 22nd will be welcoming and commissioning Margie, Stephen, and Mia for a year of ministry with us.
Building Improvements Update

Taking advantage of relatively good weather in September, our terrific construction crew is moving quickly to complete our first phase of building renovations starting with the roof and seismic upgrades.  Most of the work is complete to tear off the old roof and do repairs needed before laying down new shingles.
Children's Ministries Expand

Ever since I started attending All Pilgrims in 2006, we've had a heart for children.  In congregational discernment meetings people said "We  want our halls to ring with the sound of children's laughter."  In our recent congregational survey, members of All Pilgrims said that outreach to families with children is one of our top priorities.

Beer & Hymns

From September through December, the third Sunday of each month will be "All Pilgrims Beer and Hymns."

Starting at 6:30 pm in Stuart Hall, we will enjoy the obvious - beer and hymns.  There will be root beer for kids.

Among the guidelines, we hold you to a two beer limit (that's a maximum, not a minimum.)  Bring I.D., invite friends, and come and enjoy a great time together as we raise our voices in song.

See you there!!!
