Ready and Waiting!
 In this time of Advent, Christmas lists are made and reviewed, trees are brought into the home and lights brought outside of it (a bit odd), and many other traditions reign down upon us. It is a wonderful time to enjoy a season that invites people to be a bit closer to one another, to be a bit more considerate of the wants and needs of another, and to be aware that for followers of Jesus, this time of looking back to his birth is where tradition is rooted in our ancient birth story. Men's Retreat
The 21st Annual UCC/Pacific Northwest Conference Men's Retreat will take place at Pilgrim Firs Conference Center on February 1-3, 2013, with an optional Day of Silence beginning on Thursday, January 31.

Christmas Basket
 Win a Christmas basket for yourself or someone on your Christmas list. It will be available December 9th in Stuart Hall during fellowship hour. All you need to do is write your name and phone number on each ticket; $1/ticket or 6 for $5.00. Place your tickets and money in the container provided. The winners will be announced December 9th. Friend to Friend is a 40 year old Ecumenical outreach arm of the Council of Churches. It provides ministry to the elderly in Nursing, Assisted Living and Retirement centers in the greater Seattle, Olympia and Spokane areas. You are encouraged to be a friend to someone in your neighborhood. |
