Coordinator's Message
I don't care what the Ground Hog thinks........when it's still light out at 5:15pm and we can dismiss in daylight on Wednesdays at the end of 4:00 Religious Ed Session......I know spring will soon be here!

The AT Home Lesson  for January 29 and February 1 is due on February 12/15.  Another copy can be found by clicking here. This is an important family planning lesson. Please take the time to discuss as a family.

We have a very busy week upon our return Sunday and next Wednesday.   Sixth Grade will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation during class time; Fr. Bill Killeen will be visiting fourth grade classes; children preparing for First Eucharist in May have a Prep Liturgy at 1:30pm in church on Feb. 5 (children do have class that morning);  AND our Fifth Graders and families will be present at the Noon Mass on Feb. 5. Busy week!!!

Our weeks of class are starting to wind down, so please make sure your child's schedule includes their RE Class. The busyness of our lives have us needing to juggle things around more often than not. Thanks for helping your child(ren) learn that fitting everything in works when we plan ahead.

Fifth Grade Noon Mass
Fifth Grade Noon Mass IS  this Sunday,February 5 with a practice at 10:00am on February 4. PLEASE make every effort to have your child participate.
Their presence at the Noon Mass is important even if they could not make the practice.

Sixth Grade Noon Mass
Sixth Grade Families are asked to make sure you have Sunday, February 12 on your calendar for the Noon Mass. Practice is on Saturday, February 11 at 11:15 am in church.

Family Outreach Ministry
Please join the St. Francis Family Outreach Ministry in helping purchase, prepare and serve lunch to the families staying at The Ronald McDonald House.  If you would like to volunteer at the Dupage or Oak Lawn locations on February 11, please contact Theresa Sullivan at [email protected] for details.  Space is limited and we ask for volunteers to be over the age of 10 years old.

Weekly News Bulletin Reminder
A reminder that whomever in your family is receiving this News Bulletin needs to forward it to others in your family who you requested to receive information. We are still working on correcting this unfortunate issue of only one email per family allowed with Constant Contacts.

Safety Reminder
Parents who come into the building for purposes other than stopping in the RE Office are asked to sign in and wear a visitors badge. Kindergarten children are allowed to be walked to their class by a parent.

Family Ministry Opportunities
An answer to our baptismal call is being of service to others. Family Ministry provides opportunities for families to do service together. Click here for the many ways we can reach out and help others.

Family Photo
We would like to add family photos to our We Are Family bulletin board.  Please send us your family picture if your family photo isn't already up.

Theme
Who Are You?...You Are A Child of God....And You Are Loved!.....is our theme for the year. We are going to focus on treating each other with respect.
A heart will be displayed by each class each month as their YES to treating ALL with respect. Hearts will be displayed outside the RE Office. Stop in every so often to see how we are doing!

Absences
Please remember to phone in (352-4555) or email ([email protected]) your child's absence prior to the start of class. Thank you!
