Coordinator's Message
Hard to believe that tomorrow is already October 1. Where does the time go? It's an indication to all of us to enjoy the journey of life and to make the best of each day and every opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

Parents of new families to our Religious Ed Program are asked to attend a New Parent Meeting while your child is in class either Sunday or Wednesday. The meeting will begin at 9:30am on Sunday, 4:30pm Wednesday afternoon and 6:45pm Wednesday evening. Working Wednesday afternoon parents are welcome to come to the 6:45pm session. Please enter thru the parking lot doors.

A reminder that whomever in your family is receiving this News Bulletin needs to forward it to others in your family who you requested to receive information. We are still working on correcting this unfortunate issue of only one email per family allowed with Constant Contacts.

We still get calls about registering. PLEASE remind your friends and neighbors to get their children registered NOW! Unfortunately their first choice is probably not going to be open.

It is a goal of mind to work with parents and children in trying to make Religious Education fit into our busy schedules. I DO want our children to be able to participate in other activities, however, I am asking that parents try to talk with coaches, dance teachers, etc to see if we can compromise on the time children who have another commitment need to leave/arrive.  I have, in the past, been comfortable with 15 minutes of early dismissal, with most of those requests being for only a portion of the year.  Please try to negotiate with whomever is in charge of extra curricular activities for your children.

Dismissal on Wednesday afternoon was smoother. We still have a few glitches to work out. Therefore, fourth grades will continue to dismiss at 5:10pm on Wednesdays. Parents and whomever will be picking up children are asked to stand BEHIND the cones that are put in place in the west parking lot.

Parents who come into the building for purposes other than stopping in the RE Office are asked to sign in and wear a visitors badge. Kindergarten children are allowed to be walked to their class by a parent.

Little Caesar Fund Raiser
Our annual fund raiser is about to kick off. Children will be going home with order forms. PLEASE consider ordering a kit or two or making a donation. We receive $5 for every kit ordered. Our goal is $4000. Help us reach that goal. A $25 Target Gift Card will be awarded to one family in each session who brings in the most number of kits ordered.

Trivia Night
A fun night for adults is scheduled for October 22. Get a table together. More info can be found in the parish bulletin.  This event is sponsored by the Men's Club.

5K Run/Walk
It's that time of year again. Click here for more information regarding this event that has become a favorite in the community.

Family Photo
We would like to add family photos to our We Are Family bulletin board.  Please send us your family picture if your family photo isn't already up.

Theme
Who Are You?...You Are A Child of God....And You Are Loved!.....is our theme for the year. We are going to focus on treating each other with respect.
A heart will be displayed by each class each month as their YES to treating ALL with respect. Hearts will be displayed outside the RE Office. Stop in every so often to see how we are doing!

Absences
Please remember to phone in (352-4555) or email ([email protected]) your child's absence prior to the start of class. Thank you!
