                                 GOING WITH THE FLOW

Ever notice how we are always judging things to be "good" or "bad"? Example: Earlier today I got a call to inform me that a shift I had booked at the hospital was canceled. I heard myself say "that's bad". Then a few hours later I had a call with a woman who is going to start working with me. "That's good" Then one of my sign-ups for my next workshop had to cancel. "not good". But then right after that I received an email inquiring about the workshop. "Great". As I listened to my judgements of all the events as they unfolded, I decided that a better response that I want to have on a more consistent basis would be "that's interesting" And leave out the judgement.

I am not suggesting we push down our emotions if, in fact we face huge disappointments. Tapping is great for releasing feelings. What I am suggesting on the other hand, is practicing developing a different way of interpreting the events that unfold. I will give you another example. Last night was the second time we had to cancel the Thinner Peace group due to weather. I was disappointed. However that allowed me the time to finish a book I had wanted to finish. It also freed me up the time to cook myself a nice, healthy meal.

If you believe, as I do, that God/Spirit/Universe is a benevolent life force that we are always connected to, then there really is no need to resist the what is. Old energy patterns and ways of thinking often take time to reinvent into new wonderful ways of going with the flow. From our earthly limited perspective, do we really have the right to question the workings of Spirit in our lives?

The following is an excerpt from that wonderful book I finished last night. The title is The Greatest Manifestation Principle in the World by Carnelian Sage.

"There is a story about a group of Chinese men walking through the woods beside a rushing river. Suddenly they spotted the body of an old man bobbing up and down in the roaring rapids. Thinking the old man was dead, they ran to the river's edge trying to figure out how they were going to fish the body out of the water so it would not be swept out to sea. Their discussion came to an abrupt halt when the old man, who they thought was dead, emerged out of the water, dried himself off, and started walking away. The men ran after the old man and asked, "How did you survive in that water? No one could swim in that water without being killed." The old man replied "It was easy. I just went up when the water went up and down when the water went down."

What if everything is as it should be?
It certainly would free us up from needing to control all of the events in our lives. the people we want to change, the situations we try to change. The things we need to acquire in order for us to feel better. What if in fact, all is OK and we can stop paddling so hard to get upstream, and instead, as Esther Hicks once said, "Turn your canoe around and go with the flow".

Per Carnelian Sage: "At any given moment, everything is as it should be, based on the energy we've sown or not sown. Focus your efforts on raising your own level of consciousness,
being in touch with your true self, and being connected to Source/God. Doing so frees up your energy from wasteful preoccupations and enables you to use it for creative purposes. It also allows the energy of the Universe to flow, unimpeded by your resistance."

"We don't see things as THEY are. We see things as WE are.

Today I will be recording your every thought and emotion, no matter how "good" or "bad, no matter how generous or stingy, and no matter how helpful or hurtful it may be.
