R U CRAZY still?

I had the joy of visiting in the home of a new member at New Work Fellowship, and was asked, "So what is all this talk about RU CRAZY?"

I smiled inside.

I love talking about RU CRAZY.

If you were not here, (or if you were here); RU CRAZY was all about falling in crazy love with God! It was a three-year plan to radically pursue the vision of faith that God gave us as a church. It was a vision that was Missional, Attractional, and Responsible:

• Missional - God has partnered us with the nation of Haiti. One of the main needs in Haiti is access to fresh drinking water. In three years, New Work Fellowship has partnered with Global Outreach to dig wells in Haiti providing water to 3000 people. God has also placed us next to Fort Campbell. Through media advances we have literally gone around the world with our military community sharing the message of Christ through media videos.
• Attractional - God doesn't want his people to fade into the background or disappear from the community. Part of RU CRAZY was to ramp up our marketing and media. It's been exciting to hear about people coming to the church from these efforts and seeing lives change. The Playground was also an attractional piece. We've actually had people tell us, we chose NWF because of your playground! Isn't that cool?
• Responsible - God calls us to take care of the good gifts He has given to us. Remember that old parking lot? Wow! God has done great things with this new parking lot, even turning it into an outreach tool through partnering us with the Motorcycle Safety classes! Remember a couple weeks ago when we baptized someone who went through that first class?

RU CRAZY is two years complete. That means we are in the home stretch. Now is the time to power through and push through the commitment of faith to see the vision completed.

RU CRAZY still? Are you crazy in love with the Lord so much so that it shows up in your commitment to Him and His Church? That's what RU CRAZY was always about:

• I mean, if someone looked at your checkbook, would there be enough evidence in there that they would ask, "Are you Crazy? Look at what you are giving to church! You are nuts!")
• If someone were to look at your calendar, would they say, "Are you crazy? You have to be kidding me! Why in the world do you spend so much time in prayer, why are you involved in so much bible study, why do you go to church all the time?"

I'm praying that you are all still crazy ... crazy for the Lord, crazy for His Church, crazy for finishing the vision he birthed in us, and crazy for the future.

In fact, I'm excited to let you in a little secret ... the pastor and elders are all gathering this weekend to spend time in prayer, and to begin discussion and dreams about what is next?! You know why?

Because we are all, crazy-still. Pray for us, won't you?
