We are so excited to Welcome Lora back to our SpaRenity team. She is able to work on Mondays only until the first of November.  Besides our Labor Day weekend close to the summer, most of us are in "full throttle" mode during the month of September. And, we hear these words all the time:

Back in the 1940's, a psychologist Abraham Maslow coined a theory that we refer to today as "hierarchy of needs." According to Maslow, human needs can be categorized in levels - each one, once met, turns our attention to the next. For instance, once our basic physiological needs for air, water, food, clothing and shelter are managed, we automatically seek fulfillment in the area of safety and security. Those needs meet, we look toward attaining love and belonging - the intimacy and support of friends and family. When this requirement is satisfied, we turn to the need for self-esteem, via a sense of competence and internal acceptance. And then, if we're fortunate enough to have reached the next level in Maslow's hierarchy, we come to the pinnacle of self-actualization - being the best "us" we can be.

Did you know that Jane Iredale and her company have been around for 20+ years?
Jane Iredale moved to New York City from London at the age of 23. She initially took a job in advertising which she describes as "fun, exciting and creative". Her next career move was as a casting director, producer, and writer in the entertainment industry. This led to her life changing decisions to launch her own skin care makeup brand. It was her goal to put the skin's health at the forefront of wearing makeup. Having worked with all levels of artist, actors, and models, Jane Iredale saw that the close-ups & photo shoots were not concerned about the quality of makeup although "skin care" was all the buzz! The company's target was to provide a makeup that took out all the things that were not "helping" the skin. Dealing with true pigment, focusing on medical audiences, her following became mainstream with tried-and-true formulas for foundation, lipstick, and eye shadows. Now 20 years and some 600 products later, the company is continuing to switch up the status quo and offer fresh new collections and items each year.
