Why is it so hard to detect ovulation?, and other mysteries

One Choice Mom reported on the discussion board that she knew she was a Tryer when she accidentally dated a check the 25th -- she was on day 25 of her monthly cycle. It was actually the 3rd of the month to the rest of the world.

We don't tend to realize how difficult (and all-encompassing) it is to pinpoint the attempt to conceive, with that rare and generally costly sperm, until we are in the Trying stage of Choice Motherhood. The latest Choice Mom E-guide is 16 pages about that process, including the insights of Choice Moms about methods of detection that did and did not work for them. You can read more about the e-guide here.

Talking Amongst Ourselves
We are building our new discussion space for Choice Moms on Big Tent. We have a group for all women on this journey, as well as special forums for women who are Thinking, Trying to Conceive, Adopting, Parenting, and a space where women from localized regions can connect with each other. (I heard from a woman in Canada who had trouble accessing; if you are outside the U.S. and having issues, let me know at info @ choicemoms.org and I'll find a solution.)

You are able to choose the email options for any of the groups or 26 topic areas (per email, daily digest or website-only basis). If you'd like to help me develop this resource, as co-moderator or as someone who can write a simple how-to instruction for newcomers, please contact me.
