Dear Young Professional,

With the holidays well underway we are working hard to get put forth a great year. With our 3 committee's defined (Community Service, Programing/Events and Professional Development) and Tara at the helm we are excited about what is to come. With that being said the year is not over yet...

They say this is the season of giving and here at YPR we'd like to hone in on that. So this Livewire is dedicated to focusing on the community by highlighting opportunities to volunteer and give back (with a few partner promotions and local events mixed in of course).

With that said, don't forget continued volunteer needs for YPR are as follows:

  • Community Service Committee Members
  • Professional Development Committee Members
  • Programming/Events Committee Members

What's ahead in 2014?  We 're glad you asked!

Our dodgeball scholarship....volunteer opportunities throughout Racine... RAMAC and YPR events... charities... new partnerships... business blenders... professional breakfasts... workshops... and much more!

To learn more or express interest in any of the YPR Committee please email Tara Panasewicz at tpanasewicz@johnsonbank.com

Sincerely,

YPR

Make a Difference...Be a Mentor!

Mentors work with students for an hour after school, in school.  They assist with homework and offer encouragement.  Most of our mentors work with elementary students.  Don't worry!  Nothing is beyond your academic grasp!  There are 8 sites where mentors are needed.  Mentor sites are all in Racine County and operate between 2:15 and 4:45 PM on various days of the week.

Mentoring is transforming.

Racine, WI - They hopped across the country playing for packed-houses of delighted fans last year. Now, join the beloved bunny siblings, Max and Ruby, as they take to the stage at the Racine Civic Centre's Memorial Hall on December 10th at 6:30 PM for their most magical performance yet. Koba Entertainment is pleased to present its latest theatrical production, Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite. Inspired by one of the greatest musical scores ever - Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite - Max and Ruby are ready to bring this holiday classic to a new generation of fans this fall.

It's a glistening snowy winter evening and Max and Ruby have been anxiously waiting for the most spectacular event of the year: seeing The Nutcracker ballet with Grandma. Imagine their disappointment when a snow storm keeps them at home!

A story of the Nutcracker will have to do! So vivid is Grandma's storytelling that the characters in the ballet come to life right before their very eyes!

Max and Ruby marvel at the sight of many enchanting guests, including a Spanish bullfighter, the Sugar Plum Fairy and a runaway gingerbread man. Ruby is eager to participate in their exquisite dance, but it's Max who steals the show! Whether it was the sweets, or their lively imaginations, Max and Ruby head off to bed with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads!

With the classic notes of Tchaikovsky guiding their journey, Max and Ruby bring fun and adventure to this whimsical tale. A production created for the whole family to enjoy right in time for the holiday season.
