Employment Law Update

Are you interested in learning about how Obamacare is affecting your business today? How about the hiring of illegal aliens, when you must treat a contactor as an employee (the most litigated employment issue today); what questions you can and cannot ask during an interview; whether or not you can Google a prospective employee or check them out on Facebook? Termination or post-termination issues; compliance with the American with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act?

If you do not have a full-time Human Resource professional on your staff, attending this brief overview from a national authority on employment law is a must! Save the date...Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

One way to address that problem is to reduce the amount of capital you need by starting as small as possible - that is, "on a shoestring". You may envision yourself running a large enterprise, but the best way to get there may well be to grow your way into it, rather than trying to start out big. If you're frugal enough, you may even be able to start your business without the need for any outside capital at all.  An article by Jan Koenig, LSC-SBDC Business Advisor.  click here.
