Ordering DNA is a simple process when using the AGA online registry system. However, please keep the following in mind to ensure orders get placed correctly through the AGA and results are returned in a timely manner.

• Order Online. Please place all DNA testing orders through the AGA registry system. Only commercial DNA testing orders should be placed using the Commercial DNA Testing Form. If you are not on the AGA online registry please contact the AGA office to place your DNA order.
• Enter entire sample barcode. When placing an order please be sure to enter the full barcode into the designated Sample Barcode field, including all letters and numbers. Entering only a portion, or the last few digits, of the sample barcode slows down the DNA processing at the lab and thus requires more time for results to be returned. 
• When ordering tests on more than one animal, use one form. To save time when ordering DNA tests for more than one animal use the same sample submission form for multiple animals. However, it is recommended to only put up to ten animals on the same order form. To do this, simply put more than one animal in the DNA queue.

The Gelbvieh Regional Advertising Program (GRAP) has been successful in increasing Gelbvieh promotional efforts throughout the country. Applications to receive GRAP dollars for the 2015-2016 fiscal year are due August 1.

Any state/regional association wishing to participate in GRAP is eligible to submit an application for the upcoming fiscal year (October 1, 2015-September 30, 2016). To apply, fill out the documents that can be downloaded from the link below and return to the AGA office. Documents can be emailed to Megan Slater at megans@gelbvieh.org, faxed to 303-465-2339, or mailed to 10900 Dover Street, Westminster, CO 80021.

Registration is now open for the 45th Annual American Gelbvieh Association National Convention "Moving at the Speed of Change" that will be held December 10-12, 2015 in Kansas City, Missouri. As a reminder, registration is $75.00/adult, $25.00/junior (ages 8-21), and children 7 and under are free. Prices will increase to $100.00/adult and $50.00 /junior after November 16. The cost of attendance includes admission to all convention events and a provided lunch on Friday and Saturday.

Registration may be completed online or via printable form that may be filled out and sent to the AGA office. Hotel reservations at the convention site hotel, Embassy Suites Kansas City-International Airport can now also be made. The rate is $114.00/night under the AGA room block. Rooms may be reserved by using the link found on the convention page of www.gelbvieh.org or by calling 1-800-EMBASSY and using group code AGA. Reservations must be made by November 19 to receive group pricing. Rate includes free self parking, WiFi, cooked-to-order breakfast, and complimentary happy hour.
