Convention Registration Now Open
|

Registration is now open for the 45th Annual American Gelbvieh Association National Convention "Moving at the Speed of Change" that will be held on December 10-12, 2015 in Kansas City, Missouri. As a reminder, registration is $75.00/adult, $25.00/junior (ages 8-21), and children 7 and under are free. Prices will increase to $100.00/adult and $50.00 /junior after November 16. The cost of attendance includes admission to all convention events and a provided lunch on Friday and Saturday.
Registration may be completed online or via printable form that may be filled out and sent to the AGA office. Hotel reservations at the convention site hotel, Embassy Suites Kansas City-International Airport can now also be made. The rate is $114.00/night under the AGA room block. Rooms may be reserved by using the link found of the convention page of www.gelbvieh.org or by calling 1-800-EMBASSY and using group code AGA. Reservations must be made by November 19 to receive group pricing. Rate includes free self parking, WiFi, cooked-to-order breakfast, and complimentary happy hour.

Submitting DNA Orders

When ordering DNA tests on registered animals please remember the following to ensure the order gets placed correctly through the AGA and the results are returned in a timely manner:
Please place all DNA testing orders through the AGA registry system. Only commercial DNA testing should be ordered using the Commercial DNA Testing Form. If you are not on the AGA online registry please contact the AGA office to place your DNA order.
When ordering DNA online, after all information has been entered, click "Place Order". If this is not clicked, the order will not be placed. Next, click "view/print" and print the form which should then be sent with the sample(s) directly to Geneseek at 4131 N. 48th Street, Lincoln, NE 68504.

The AGA is having a photo contest! We are asking you to get creative and send us your outstanding photos of bulls, mommas and calves; as well as activities such as taking cattle out to pasture, working cattle, and sale day and show ring action. See full details below.
The top three photos that are chosen will be displayed at the 45th Annual AGA National Convention in Kansas City, MO, December 10-12, 2015 so give us your best shot!
Contest Rules:
- Please submit only high-quality, high-resolution, color photos. Photos must be submitted digitally and must be 300 dpi, minimum 8"x10" or 8"x12", and in JPG format. Cell phone photos will be accepted if taken with a high-quality smart phone. Please submit photos by September 31, 2015.
- No artwork, paintings, Polariods, printed photos or enhanced images will be accepted.
- All photos become property of the American Gelbvieh Association. We reserve the right to use any submitted images in Gelbvieh World, The Profit Picture or for any AGA marketing purpose.
- To submit please email images to gelbviehmedia@gmail.com and include the following information: title of photo, photographer's name, email address and phone number.

Submit Dam of Merit and Dam of Distinction Data

If you have females you would like to have qualify for the Dam of Merit or Dam of Distinction program, please be sure all data on the dam's offspring has been recorded by August 1.
The Dam of Merit and Dam of Distinction program honors females in the AGA herdbook that have proven they possess both longevity and productivity. Both breeders and owners of these prestigious females are recognized every year in the November issue of Gelbvieh World.
