Hello!

It's Dec!  Can you believe it!?  Since it's the week after thanksgiving let me, Stephanie Pauline, founder, and artist for More than Music Inc., take a moment just to tell you HOW MUCH I appreciate YOU.  Whether More than Music Inc. came to your attention by way of a concert in your area, airplay of one of our associated artists on your local radio station, by social media, or a personal relationship with me or one of our team members - YOU ARE A TREASURE to this ministry.  Thank you for taking the time to CARE about the hope we are working so hard to bring to this world.

The brain is an amazing thing.   No matter how easy it is sometimes to become discouraged by a sense of wanting, still, when you reflect on the positives, and approach whatever the situation with an eye on finding gratitude within it -  well, when you do that - your soul can't help but release the darkness and be filled with light, new peace, and creative space.  Test it!  What's my point?  YOU.  -YOU do that for me.  I reflect on YOU, and the fact that you care and my heart is changed, and I'm spurred on to new ideas and new momentum.  THANK YOU for your investment in me and in More than Music Inc.  I appreciate YOU.

The "Born to Save" Music video, the radio releases, the remix of the Christmas CD, web overhaul, duplication, THE ONE project, Sponsorship development, and booking have really kept MtM hopping and have brought over 60 people to play in varying day to day MtM operations.  Many are volunteers who simply care about the message and service we are providing our community and they just want to help.  THANK YOU to each and every one!

  • Stephanie Pauline has a unique opportunity which will potentially result in the ability to do her next album through a record label.  There are pros and cons to the indie verses label artistic life.  For her, the more creative potential the better and the bigger the audiences - the bigger the impact.  CLICK THROUGH TO GET STEPHANIE'S NEXT CD FREE!
  • MtM is working to find an AUDASCIOUS PASSIONATE RADICAL, JESUS-FREAK who is organized, outgoing, self-motivated, willing to help raise their own support, and capable of driving forward the Toy Soldier 1280 Program.  More than Music has long since invigorated mentoring programs in juvenile detention centers across the country -- now we are initiating them.  Pray the right project manager comes along, that funding is plentiful, and that many Champions for the cause all across the nation will come forward and join ranks with us in partnership with Youth for Christ as vanguards for this important operation.  God IS a Father to the fatherless.  THESE are our generation's fatherless.  Over 80% of incarcerated young people do not have fathers in their lives and of the 20% that do, many of their fathers are still emotionally absent due to drug and alcohol abuse.  It is our call and our great privilege to serve these who matter so much to His heart.

"From the Heart" by Genny Moellring

Your Very Own MRCC Account -

Recently a young woman whom we are supporting for missions shared a newsletter that echoed in my heart.  I received approval from her to share some of the content with you.  I have taken liberty with her letter to apply it to More than Music Inc.  As a service minister and missionary inviting people to partner with MtM in ministry, God has given me a unique perspective that I would love to share with you.  So, if you will bear with me - I am going to go there - I'm going to talk about the 'elephant in the room' that we as Americans seem so reticent to talk about, but that those in ministry are often asked to focus on - money.

I want to clarify from the outset - that this isn't about MtM, it's not about Stephanie's support and I do not like it that people think service ministers are always 'begging for money'.  I just want to share some observations and truths I have discovered as I have walked this road with others who are in full-time ministry.  I hope I can help dispel that 'begging' misconception that can add a degree of awkwardness between relationships.  Few of us want to talk about - I know I don't want to, but am feeling led to address this lovely elephant that we all tip-toe around....

I was recently reminded that though we don't like to talk about it, Jesus never shied away from talking about money; in fact, He talked about money more than He talked about heaven and hell combined.  It got me thinking - Why is that?  Why did He talk about it so much?  Then it hit me: it is not about the money at all, it is about our hearts.  God wants our hearts!  He doesn't actually need our money.  He IS God!  Fully sufficient in and of Himself, He has everything He will ever need.  He doesn't need a thing from us, but He knows what we need, and that is a heart fully committed to Him.  Our money and our possessions can have such a hold on us, and He knows that.  When He asks us to Give, it is for our benefit.    He wants our hearts, and He knows that what stands in the way of that is us, and our own self-centeredness.  The Bible is often misquoted as saying that money is the root of all evil; the verse actually says - the LOVE of money is the root of all evil.  God wants to protect us from that.

We desire good investments with promised returns on our resources and that is exactly what we have when we partner with God.  He has come to us, inviting us to invest in what He is doing.  Imagine, the God of the universe!  What if we really did see it as the best and wisest investment we could ever make?  What if we were to see ministries and missionaries as simply ones with an invitation.  He may not be calling you to go yourself, but He does call us to go in spirit - We really are all in this together!

My friend's grandfather told a story of a man he met in India who was there serving in the Army during WW2.  There was a need that came up at the mission and so this man handed the Grandfather some money saying it was from his MRCC account.  Curious, the Grandfather asked what the MRCC account was: the man told him it was his "Moth and Rust Cannot Corrupt" account.  He had a special account just for investing in eternal things, and it was reserved for that alone.  This man understood the principle of wise and eternal investments.

God says He loves cheerful givers, because the cheerful giver has the proper perspective of what it is all about, and whose money it is in the first place.  Sometimes it will hurt a little, sometimes we will have to give up a night of dinner out, or the latest fashion item but eternally it is so worth it!!  The Bible does say He will supply all our needs.  Paul was actually saying this to those who had given to his ministry, not as a blanket statement.  Paul wanted people to give, not because of the gift, but because of the spiritual blessings God would bestow upon them for their obedience.  Phil 4:14-20  As a side note, the Bible actually tells us not to test the Lord except for one instance: as it relates to the blessings from giving!  Malachi 3:10.

What if everyone/every family picked 3 service ministers to support prayerfully and financially and really invest in their lives and ministry.  I know many of you already do this and I, too, have been so blessed by the examples of others; some who have been partnering with MtM for many years, others who have committed to supporting MtM for $10/month.  See, it is not the amount, it is the heart.

Would you be willing to pray and ask God to lay a ministry, missionary, or country on your heart and 'join Him' in investing there?  Pick something that you have a heart for and learn all about it, get your children involved and pray as a family.  They will learn what you model so much more than what you say.  Teach your children and grandchildren that the world revolves around God's kingdom and not us and our fleeting desires.

God is doing incredible things all around the world and He invites us to join Him - not because He needs us, or needs our money, but because He KNOWS us, He knows our hearts, He knows what battles for our affections, and He knows what is the very best for us.  Pray.  Ask Him.  It really is all about our hearts.  Ultimately, it is about partnership with the King and it is about our heart's affections!  "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."

We invite you to open your heart and ask God what you can do to support More than Music, Inc.  -  Songs for the Soul, Hope for the Hurting...Revolutionizing the culture at large, one heart at a time, until everyone on earth knows and lives the love that is in Jesus Christ.

In Closing

Thank you for taking the time to catch up with us!  We can't do what we do without YOU.  Your support means the world to us.  Thank you for enabling this work that always has been, and always will be about so much More than Music.

Love to you all,
