This simple, pure, acoustic recording - all about Jesus, is a piece of work Stephanie Pauline has been looking forward to for several years.  Produced by More than Music with long time Colorado Springs talent, Tim and Jon Collins, recorded in part in Nashville, this album is shaping up into something she is really proud of.  With classic carols interspersed with a few orignal songs "More than a Story" was inspired after Stephanie Pauline's first detention center Christmas tour several years ago.  She found that the vast majority of the young people in attendance had never even heard most of these classic, impactful, Christian carols.  

"I would do a concert sharing with 50 kids and when I enthusiastically asked, "Who has heard this song before - it is one of my all time favorite carols?" Only 3 to 5 hands would go up (referencing songs such as Oh Holy Night or Oh Little Town of Bethlehem).  It was so shocking to me and my CO guitarist, Tim Collins.  Also, I always hand out sheet music and invite the kids to sing along for these Christmas concerts, and EVERY time I am collecting the music afterwards at least 5 to 10 young people come up and sheepishly ask if they can keep their copy of the sheet music.  They just want to pour over it in their cells later.  Wow!  They are so hungry.  I know from my experience handing out other recordings, that these kids will listen to this over and over and over and over. It can't help but seep into their souls and move them to hope. What a beautiful thing. I am so thankful to God for music and its impact! I am so excited to share More than a Story."

This CD is going to be a welcome addition for any Christmas music collection and is destined to be a favored December MtM hand out at juvenile detention centers all around the US. Stephanie Pauline is all set to do a 4-state  tour in Dec as well as a mini tour to local detention centers.  In the following years, she plans to go across the country (within detention centers and without) with her Christmas concert experience she has been sharing for several years now - featuring a birthday party for Jesus, traditional carols, her own originals, the story of Jesus' birth, along with her own story of redemption - all woven together into a powerful encounter with Christmas. Complete with cake and ice cream and a sing-a-long rendition of  Happy Birthday to Jesus, it's beautiful.  Hundreds already have received God's grace through this experience and we have only just begun!
