Alleluia! The Lord is risen! (Now why can't I get out of bed?)
Easter is a chance to celebrate the abundant joy of our life in the Risen Lord. But for clergy, there's another side to the celebration: the arrival of crushing fatigue. No matter how large or small your church, you may find yourself stretched thin by all you've had to coordinate during Lent, Holy Week, and Easter Day. Now is the time to take steps toward self-care and rejuvenation. The following resources may help:
This piece from Pastoral Care and Counseling, a methodist blog, offers six simple strategies that can help refresh your outlook and bring your life back into balance -- and because it's written with clergy in mind, the five minutes you spend reading will really pay off.
For those who want a more holistic and lifelong approach to wellness, try CREDO's media libraries, which include such offerings as "Your Support System" and "Walk and Be Well," four weeks of reflections to accompany you on walks or other daily practice.

Do you know a high schooler thinking about URI?
St. Augustine's is hosting a "Feed a Friend" picnic for clergy, potential URI students, and families on Tuesday, April 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The picnic will be a chance to introduce your parish's graduating high school seniors to St. Augustine's, a spiritual haven with a thriving ministry on the campus of URI. It will also offer them a chance to meet other incoming freshman, as well as current URI students, Bishop Knisely, and Meaghan Kelly, the director of ECC.
Please email David Dobbins or Jan Grinnell to let them know if you are able to attend and how many students would be coming with you.
St. Augustine's is the Episcopal Center at URI and is located on the campus at 15 Lower College Road in Kingston.

St. Martin's Church in Providence calls new rector
St. Martin's will soon welcome the Rev. Mark Robert Sutherland as its 12th rector. Mark is a native of Christchurch, New Zealand, and has been serving as Canon for Congregational Formation at Trinity Cathedral in the Diocese of Arizona, the same church where Bishop Knisely served as dean before his election and consecration as the 13th Bishop of Rhode Island. Mark and his spouse, Al Marcetti, will visit St. Martin's on Sun., April 27, when Mark will serve as guest preacher at the 8 and 10 am services. Following each service, parishioners will have the opportunity to hear from Mark at a forum. Check out Mark's blog or learn more about his call to Providence.
