Bishop Knisely invites you to a Presbyter Retreat
Join him at this very special retreat, our first time away together
Who:
Priests in the diocese.
We have a limited number of rooms so priority is being given to active priests in parishes. All others should register for the waiting list and we will let you know next week if we have space. Register online here.
What: A time to focus on community building and conversation around the concept of missional church. We will be studying Dwight Zscheile's book People of the Way so please read it before the retreat to facilitate the dialogue. The retreat will also include time for worship, music, and Bible study; please bring a Bible and any musical instrument or music you might want to share.
When: Tuesday, February 18 through Thursday, February 20. (Check-in begins Tuesday at 1 pm, with the first session at 1:30 pm. The retreat concludes with lunch on Thursday.)
Cost: The Bishop's Office is underwriting much of the cost. We ask that overnight guests contribute $200 and commuters $75 to defray other expenses. This is a perfect use for your continuing education funds. Scholarships are also available.
Please join Bishop Knisely at this first presbyter retreat so we can get to know each other better and deepen our life as colleagues in ministry together in this diocese.

Twitter, twitter, tweet, tweet
Do you tweet? Our bishop does -- and he's not the only one. We know of 32 priests and 15 churches from the diocese who are on Twitter.
If you're not sure how or why to use Twitter, spend some time seeing how others are using it to enlarge and enliven their communities:
RI Churches on Twitter
RI Clergy on Twitter
Ready to give it a try? There are plenty of guides that can help you with the basics -- and beyond. Here are a couple that we recommend:
From The New York Times
From the tech news site ReadWrite
Then it's time: Go ye forth and tweet!
