Annual meeting was a success . . . Now what?
Gearing up for annual meeting is easy: You need to develop presentations, prepare ballots, and plan how to celebrate the past year and share your goals for the year to come. But once the new vestry is in place, next steps aren't always as well defined.
This pair of articles from ECF Vital Practices can help orient new (and continuing) vestry members and set your vestry up for success.
Three-time senior warden, former president of the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes, and longstanding delegate to General Convention Scott Evenbeck presents his understanding of the most important vestry responsibilities. Share this article with new and returning vestry members to let them know what to expect.
Sandra Clark Kolb, former vestry member and warden and current consultant to the Episcopal Church Foundation and the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, examines a five-stage model of group development and shows how you can use it to create a highly functioning vestry. Share this article to help your group hit the ground running.
