Church School is about to start for the season, yet 23 of our 50 churches haven't gotten back to us about gaining their access to the new online Safe Church log-in. Have we heard from you yet? All clergy are required to take the online training regardless of when their certification expires, so you can be prepared to respond pastorally to your staff as they take it. If you, your staff and volunteers have not yet done this, email The Rev. Meaghan Kelly ASAP to get your church's log-in to the online Safe Church portal.

Don't Forget!
Convention Resolutions and Nominations are due by September 16th 2013, which is next Monday. This is the year that General Convention Deputies are elected in addition to the normal diocesan roles.

RI Deacons Are Blogging!
Rhode Island's Deacons have a new blog where they are posting regularly about why they are and how they minister.
The latest story is on our Archdeacon, Janice Grinnell. Last January Bishop Knisely appointed Janice Grinnell to serve as Archdeacon.
She has an enthusiasm for building the Diaconate in Rhode Island, which Bishop Knisely shares, and one of the first steps is lifting up the stories of who our Deacons are and how important their ministries are to the life of a Diocese.
