NEW Diocesan License for Music & Liturgy
The Bishop's office is obtaining a 2014 license for the diocese that will covers all music and liturgical books published by Church Publishing, for all of our congregations. This includes:
- Hymnal 1982
- Lift Every Voice and Sing,
- Liturgical resources, bulletin templates, and more!
If these are the sources you use, you do NOT need to buy a congregational license for 2014. If you use sources beyond the resources published by Church Publishing, you will either need to obtain a license or get copyright permission for the occasional use. One time use licenses are often inexpensive or free so that's a good way to get coverage without buying an umbrella license for just a few uses during the year. Remember that the copyright law includes words or musical notes printed in a bulletin, compiled into a booklet, projected on a screen, etc. whether in worship, youth group, Sunday School, or parish event.
