Greetings!
Are you reading Luke & Acts along with Bishop Knisely this Lent? You can catch up or continue to follow along on our blog. To learn more about Bishop Knisely's invitation to this Biblical journey towards Easter, check out the latest issue of RISEN Magazine. If you haven't received your copy in the mail yet, you can read it online.
In other news, pictures are now online from Ashes to Go around the Diocese, and the 2/10 Ordination of The Rev. Rebecca Gettel which was Bishop Knisely's first Ordination of a priest!
Also, congratulations are due to The Rev. Libby Nestor M.D. who is one of our non-parochial priests. She has received an outstanding physician award for her work in the ER at Rhode Island Hospital. Read the press release here and stay tuned for more of the story. Ministry doesn't just happen in church!
Lastly, The Episcopal Church Foundation (ECF) Fellowship program application deadline is March 15th. The program provides financial support to emerging Episcopal scholars and ministry leaders, both lay and ordained. Fellowships can be up to $15,000 and we hope you apply. What a great opportunity for innovative scholars and ministry leaders to transform lives.
Blessings, Ruth Meteer

Episcopal charities
IT IS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO SPOT NEED.
An unemployed neighbor. A victim of domestic violence. A student with a learning disability. An elderly shut-in. Each day, thousands of Rhode Islanders seek out help. Some need a little. Some need a lot.
For more than 60 years, the Episcopal Charities Fund has worked to meet that need. With the help of donors, nonprofit agencies and churches, Episcopal Charities has made a difference and with your help, we can continue "Feeding the Hungry" in this way.
Our 2013 Annual Campaign is underway, and volunteers in your parish will once again call on you to help us continue this important work. We hope that you will continue to support us as you have in the past.100% of your gift goes directly to agencies helping our neighbors. Spread the word!
Want to contribute? Donate online at www.episcopalri.org/charities or send your check with your name, address, phone # and parish to Episcopal Charities, 275 North Main Street, Providence RI 02903.
