Greetings!

The past few months have been a whirlwind of first-times for our diocese, as we begin everything anew with our brand new bishop. For a recap of life in the diocese since Bishop Knisely's Ordination, check out the latest RISEN Magazine. There are also lots of fun photos of our latest events online here, as usual.

In other news, ECC has a new website at www.eccri.org. Check out the online donation tool, and get ready for online registration for this summer's camp!

Lent begins in a few weeks with Ash Wednesday, and this year Bishop Knisely is inviting every congregation to participate in Ashes to go. Learn how on our blog.

Finally, Harvard Divinity School has extended their Call for Papers deadline to January 31st, for their symposium on contemplation this April.

Blessings, Ruth Meteer

Many thanks to our donors & volunteers for their support in healing the hurts and brokenness in so many of our neighborhoods. With your help, we are a link between healers and those in need of healing.

As we closed out 2012, grants were made to 73 RI social service agencies assisting those in fragile situations, for total of $353,900. In addition, grants totaling $22,000 were given from the Susan Hudson Memorial Fund - a bequest left to Episcopal Charities. Susan Hudson was a dedicated volunteer and donor who had a strong belief in the Episcopal Charities Mission and a commitment to those in need.

This year we also received a special endowment for administrative costs, so once again every dollar of every gift was given out in grants. Let's continue our mission of "People Helping People", and be proud of these accomplishments!

2013 Annual Campaign plans are underway. Volunteers in your parish will once again call on you as we continue this important work. We hope that you will continue to support us as you have in the past.

Want to contribute? Donate online at www.episcopalri.org/charities or send your check with your name, address, phone # and parish to Episcopal Charities, 275 North Main Street, Providence RI 02903.
