An icon of South Florida and beyond!

Many of us know Ellen from her magnificent cantorial solos at Temple Beth Or holiday services; but of course we also know her talent, humor and songwriting abilities in the world of folk music.

From Menopause to Marijuana. ...Peace to Politics ... Poignant to Provocative. . . Ellen Bukstel writes and sings about it all. This type of happy-sad, life embracing, fear-overcoming emotional schizophrenia truly captures the spirit of modern independent music making-whatever the artist feels in that moment, she shares...and whatever else Ellen is, she's not shy about it. For Bukstel, music is a way of expressing her joys, her sorrows and her passions -bringing her listeners to tears and laughter and sometime both at the same time.

Ellen packs the Lighthouse, so pre-paid reservations are a must.

  Max Hatt & Edda Glassl

Think Soft Brazilian and jazz standard sounds while floating on a cloud of Edda's silky voice and that's pretty much what we experienced on Halloween; whilst those who chose to sit at home and eat candy suffered for it the next day. Really though, Max & Edda were fabulous and very talented. We look forward to having them back sometime.
Thank you, music lovers
Michael
