In 2014 Max Hatt / Edda Glass played at Lincoln Center, NYC, won grand-prize at the Mountain Stage / NewSong Contest and generally defied categorization. 2015 sees them play coast to coast from Seattle to NYC, including Sundance Film Festival's ASCAP Music Cafe, a headlining concert at Lincoln Center, and opening sets for Dweezil Zappa, Romero Lubambo, and Autumn Defense. In 2016 they will appear on NPR Mountain Stage, and NewSong Recordings will release their new album this spring, produced by Pat Sansone of Wilco & Autumn Defense, and recorded at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC. They have this to say: We're interested in stories. How a melody comes home soundly to a place it didn't grow up. How a major chord troubles your sleep with minor insinuations. We are located in the converted library of Temple Beth Or, which is itself in a cozy little house on a beautiful property conveniently located in South Dade.

The Lighthouse Cafe` is a very cozy, intimate room with a great, and professional sound system for your listening enjoyment.

Zak Shaffer played last March at the lighthouse to rave reviews. This was a multi-media show and based on women Blues and Jazz singers from the early 20th Century to current time. We hope to have Ruth back at the Lighthouse Cafe - it was a great night.
