Attention: Beth Or Men!

The Men's Group at Beth Or will re-inaugurate itself on Sunday, October 20, at 11:30 a.m. at TBO.paper_people_chain.jpg

This is your men's club!  All Beth Or gents are invited to bring yourselves, your ideas, and your suggestions for defining the scope, purpose, and possible projects for this able and energetic group.

We'll have coffee and light refreshments.  RSVP to Mel Tenen either by email at meltenen@gmail.com or by phone to Mel at 305-253-1768.

Chit Chat at Beth Or

Chit Chat will meet as usual on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m.

This discussion group addresses topics of local, national and international interest with a distinctly Jewish approach.  We talk about cultural, legal, educational, social, political, religious and secular subjects, with a text usually from the media to start us off.

Now that we are back at the Temple, there's always room for one more, so please don't hesitate.  If you're available, so are we.
If you want to be included on the Chit Chat email list, please contact Mike Leslie at hebrewnatl@aol.com.

Temple Wish List

Can you help in a small way?  The Temple occasionally needs items, usually under $100 or even $50, that add up.

Here's what TBO could really use at the moment:

Would someone consider underwriting a BJ's or Costco membership for us for between $50 and $60?  (BJ's is preferable, as your humble Oneg Shopper has a BJ's nearby!)

We'd like to keep a spare HP60XL combo pack black/color ink cartridge set for the office printer, $50 - $60.

Shredders need lubricant!  A bottle of shredder oil --yes, it's a special kind -- or a pack of shredder lubricating sheets go for under $20!  Check your local office supply store.

Garden and Grounds  Wish List

Thinking of replacing your older lawn-care equipment?

To save $500 or more per year, the TBO Grounds Department needs some equipment, in good running condition, or nearly so!

1. Large lawnmower
2. Edger
3. Weedeater
4. Large chainsaw

Contact Jeff Tucker at JMTucker007@gmail.com if you can help.  Thanks!

Outdoor Furniture Available

Amy Lomaskin and Mel Tenen have a very nice set of outdoor patio furniture available:

The table is 39" wide by 61" long, with a glass top.  Completing the set are six chairs, oversized with white metal frames and white web-strapping, aqua trim.

We weren't able to include a photo here, but one is available on request.   Anyone wishing to "adopt" this set would have to be able to have it picked up.

Please call Amy at 305-253-1768.
Do you have an old "box style" TV that works?

Looking for an excuse to replace it?  We've got one, ready-made.

Marcy Prince can take old, working TV's with the following specifications: TV's must have outlets for DVD/VHS/game hook-up; no larger than 27".

Marcy is  also seeking DVD and VHS players and cable boxes.

These would be made available to women who need assistance in getting a roof over their heads and don't have the means to purchase luxury items.

Please contact Marcy at mprince@miamidade.gov
