Be a Very Important Person by participating in these Very Important Events!
This week we'd like to invite you to two important events that can have an impact on the future of the San Joaquin River Parkway.
"Walk and Roll" Mayoral Candidate Forum - October 5, 2016, at 7:00 pm
On Wednesday night at 7 pm at Bitwise South Stadium, join us for "Walk and Roll," a mayoral candidate forum focused on Active Transportation. At this event the two candidates will talk about their vision for trails, bikeways, and other opportunities for active transportation in the City of Fresno. The Mayor can have a big impact on the implementation of the San Joaquin River Parkway trail system, since approximately 1/3 of the Parkway is within the Fresno City limits. Please attend the forum and show your support for San Joaquin River Parkway trails!

Parks Master Plan Workshop - October 6, 2016, at 6:00 pm
On Thursday night at 6 pm, at Fresno High School, join us for a Parks Master Plan Workshop. This is your chance to share your input as the City updates its Parks Master Plan. The City of Fresno was an early partner in creating the San Joaquin River Parkway, and operates and maintains segments of the Lewis S. Eaton Trail. If you would like to see more of the Parkway included in the parks Master Plan, please participate in the workshop on Thursday and share comments supporting the San Joaquin River Parkway.

There is a new segment of the Parkway Trail system completed in Friant - connecting the Fish Hatchery to Lost Lake Park. Save the date for the official ribbon cutting on Wednesday, October 26, at 10:00 am. We hope to see you there!
