"House With A View" Artist's Reception and Exhibit
Did you know that viewing art is good for your mind and body? From decreasing stress, to stimulating the imagination, to making you more observant, viewing art can have a big impact on your well-being.

This summer we are pleased to host a new art exhibit called "House With A View." The exhibit features eight local artists who got together to paint scenes from select windows in the River Center Ranch House. Come see how artists Peggy Jelmini, Sandy Kowallis, Janice Leppke, Sue McCline, Marilyn Torchin, Joyce Tuck, and Kukiku Young have interpreted classic scenes at River Center.

A second exhibit in the Ranch House office will be on display with art by Kathleen Mattox, commissioned by Fresno Audubon Society.

Join us for a reception to celebrate the exhibit and meet the artists on Sunday, June 14, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The exhibit can be viewed June through August every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Walk With A Doc

Rx: San Joaquin River Parkway, it's just what the doctor ordered! This month's Walk with a Doc will focus on the benefits of open space and parkland to your health!

Join doctors from the Fresno-Madera Medical Society for a free walk on Saturday, June 20, at 7:15 am. The walk will begin at 7:30 am and will last one hour.

On this walk we will wander through the sycamore trees to Owl Hollow and experience the peace and tranquility found in nature. We will have a chance to reflect along the banks of the San Joaquin River and then head back to the River Center where you can launch your next adventure.

Along the way you will hear from local physicians about the importance of getting outside and how access to natural areas can improve your health and positively impact the community.

This walk will meet at the River Center, 11605 Old Friant Rd.
