We are resending this message today, so we can share the new River West Access for All video produced by the Center for Multicultural Cooperation. This video illustrates the key issues surrounding the project and compares the Trust's original plan with the General Plan recommendations put forth by the City Manager. Please take a few minutes to watch the video and share it with your family and friends.

We need you to make your voice heard about public access to the San Joaquin River Parkway. Over the last month, we've been sharing information about the River West- Fresno project, and the current conflict over public access. On February 14 the Fresno City Council will vote on the Fresno City Manager's general plan recommendations for the River West Project. The City Manager's recommendations eliminate vehicle access from Fresno and will substantially limit public access to the project, especially for seniors and families with young children.
Here is how you can make your voice heard on this important issue:
- Write or call your City Council representative
- Click here to find out who your City Council representative is.
- Click here for a list of Councilmember contact information.
- Write or call the Mayors office
- Attend the City Council meeting on February 14
- The City will release the agenda for this meeting on Friday, February 8 at 5:00 p.m. Click here to visit the City Council webpage to see the time for the River West agenda item.
In your communications, ask the City to:
- Provide a vehicle entrance at Riverview Drive to a trail parking and staging area
- Let the Environmental Impact Report and public input process do its job
We've put together some information about the River West project and the current debate over where and how the community should access the project. Follow the links provided here to read and download the latest information about the project and upcoming City Council vote.
Thank you for making your voice heard and helping to ensure public access to the San Joaquin River Parkway is available to the entire community.
