WHY: The San Joaquin River Parkway should be accessible to everyone in the community. The City Manager is proposing recommendations for the City's 2035 General Plan update that would substantially limit access to the River West/Lewis S. Eaton Trail project. The recommendations limit vehicular access to the park so significantly, they effectively turn a 500-acre regional amenity into a neighborhood park benefiting the few people that live within walking distance. It is very important that the City Council and Mayor hear from many residents throughout the community. Please join us!
WHAT: Join the River Parkway Trust and the Center For Multicultural Cooperation (CMC) for a meeting about the River West/Lewis S. Eaton Trail expansion project. This will be an opportunity for you to learn about the project, and learn how to provide your input on trails, fishing access, boating and picnicking locations on the Parkway. Refreshments will be provided.
WHEN: Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: River Parkway Trust Headquarters, 11605 Old Friant Rd, 3-miles north of Woodward Park.
